Well, i had always purposed in my heart to NEVER do weddings…WHY? you ask…Well, most brides have high expectations & you never want to mess with anyones BIG DAY. LOL!!
Well, as you can see i decided to say yes to my prima (cousin) and shoot her wedding. I was not nervous because i knew she was going for simple and quick. She & her fiance got married on the beach and it was such a beautiful day. I was glad to because outside photography is the BEST since GOD gives you perfect lighting…
Here are some of her beautiful moments. ENJOY!
I keep telling myself, "Susie, you have got to make it a priority to blog more" and although i would love to... TIME JUST does not PERMIT me to. I can barely keep up with my own photography website much less blog about all the wonderful opportunities i have had these past few months.Don't get me wrong i LOVE to show off the beautiful moments people have allowed me to capture and be a part of but BEING A MOMMY can never take a back seat. However since i am on today and all THREE of my beautiful children are taking a nap i might as well upload a couple of wonderful faces. This is AMANDA a senior from Clear Creek High School. She is a beauty...Congratulations AMANDA!
My middle child Zoe asked me the other day, “Mommy am I going to marry daddy when i grow up?” Of coarse my reply was, “Well, no sweetie daddy only can be married to mommy and one day God will bless you with a wonderful husband like daddy when you grow up”. She replied with a whinny voice “THAT’S NOT FAIR, I WANT TO BE WITH HIM FOREVER!” Then my oldest daughter Melody decided to come in the conversation to add her 2 cents and said, “yeah and you better marry a man who loves God or he will not be nice to you”. I couldn’t do anything but laugh.
Ok, so tonight, i was listening to my husband listen to Francis Chan on the net and he was basically talking about how we end up having this unbelievable experience with GOD when we are in the middle of the hard core trials. And when you think about it, it makes so much sense….. how is the comforter, JESUS going to comfort those who are comfortable…HOPE YOU GOT THAT.
Well, as many of you know we are definitely in one, I would say ours was more of a “test trial” and in the middle of it all I am finding myself draw so much closer to GOD, more now than I ever have. Amazing how we always think we have arrived but then we look back and we realize how far away we really were. I am not saying that I have arrived by any means but what I am saying is that in this season that GOD has our family I have drawn so much closer to GOD and I can’t imagine this happening without the trial. You won’t really know who you really are until you are UNDER PRESSURE right? That’s when the REAL YOU COMES OUT.
I am reminded of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and how they were thrown in the fiery furnace for taking a stand & not bowing down to Nebuchadnezzar’s statue/idol. These 3 guys were courageous but with that courage brought some harsh judgment. Nebuchadnezzar then ordered the three men to be thrown in the fiery furnace. But amazingly GOD protected them all. When they came out, the scriptures say that “the fire had not harmed their bodies, nor was a hair of their heads singed; their robes were not scorched, and there was no smell of fire on them”. Their true character came out…they were willing to die no matter what…they believed GOD could deliver and save them BUT they also knew IF GOD decided not to, they would still die for the cause. WOW!!! Talk about COMMITTED!
How amazing RIGHT? Well, I know in these days (at least not now) we may not get thrown in a fiery furnace for taking a stand and going GOD’S way but I do know that whatever tests or trials we go through GOD will only protect us and keep us securely in HIS HANDS and HE does all things for a reason…For me that is the ONLY place I wanna be.
I have realized that when everything is completely out of your hands you have to realize that there is only ONE person who truly is in control and that is JESUS.
Isaiah 30: 18-21
18Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; he rises to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice.
Blessed are all who wait for him! 19 O people of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. How gracious he will be when you cry for help! As soon as he hears, he will answer you. 20 Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own eyes you will see them. 21 Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”
May we focus not on our trials but the one who can get us through them.
28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Take time to read the LOVE LETTERS, the BIBLE…
The way you live will bring proof/testimony of the message of THE GOSPEL. Because the Holy Spirit changes people when they believe others see and believe also. DOES YOUR LIFE CONFIRM or CONTRADICT what you say you believe.
I Thessalonians 2:12
Paul pleads, begs & encourages the Thessalonians to live in a way/ manner that GOD would consider worth. Worthy because it brings GLORY to GOD.
So, I have come to the place in my life where I have realized there is much room to GROW. GROW in the things of GOD, His ways, His Attitude, His Holiness. I looked up the word ENCOURAGE and it means: give confidence, hearten, cheer, support, persuade, push, promote, advance, further….
There was definitely a reason Paul ENCOURAGED…because he knew that if we continued to RUN the RACE God has set before us God would receive GLORY and many people will come to know Him in a MORE & PERSONAL way…And really that is what it all boils down to…..KNOW CHRIST…
I never want to be found in the same place GOD found me….I want to always move, mature, go deeper & be more in LOVE with my Savior Jesus.
Another LoveLee Moment from the heart of God to mine…
Today, August 5th Baby Dameon went to be with his MAKER JESUS. Please keep dad Ian & mom Brittney as well as immediate family in your prayers. They will need comfort and peace. They were wonderful parents to this beautiful life. WHAT AN ANGEL HE IS.
Here was some UNEXPECTED fun. Glad I took my camera along for mom in law’s birthday. Thanks Brittney for letting me take some random shots of little Dameon. He is super cute!!! Especially with those bright blue eyes.
